Inclement weather did not stop visitors including Mayor of Wellington Cllr Gary James from attending Nynehead Court’s craft market.
It was the second time the home has run a craft market, and crafts from some of the best artisan producers in the area were housed in the Orangery and stable block.
Warm refreshments in the form of mince pies and tea and coffee were on offer, as well as fresh hot pizza from Woody Baloos pizza van. Visitors could also see three alpacas, whose owners had brought them along, as well as their stall of alpaca wool products.
The £360 profit from the event will be given to Art Care Education, a Somerset-based charity which supports art and craft.
Home manager Angela Watkins said: “We decided to hold a craft market during the autumn to help people find something unique for a Christmas gift. We are grateful to stallholders and visitors for their support.”
