THE Community Public Access Defibrillator (CPAD) in West Buckland is ready to use and a community awareness training session has been arranged for later this month.
West Buckland Parish Council used a grant from Awards for All to buy a defibrillator and it has been installed at the village hall, close to the entrance.
The awareness session, arranged through the Community Heartbeat Trust, is on Wednesday, March 22, at 7pm at the village hall and will teach parishioners how to use the CPAD.
The defibrillator makes it easy for anyone from First Responders to untrained members of the public to respond confidently and appropriately in an emergency.
