REX The King, coming to Ashbrittle village hall next month, tells the story of a Somerset darts champion who ruled the world but lost it all.

The show is billed as witty, uplifting and ludicrously tragic – blood, sweat, tears and beers, songs and silliness are promised.

Somerset’s Wassail Theatre Company, the team behind The Giants (2015), about Yeovil Town FC, have produced the show, being performed in pubs, village halls and theatre bars around the county.

Rex The King is on Saturday, May 20 – the event starts at 6.30pm with the performance at 8pm. Tickets priced £8 adults and £5 students are available from AvrilSilk@
