UFFCULME School students celebrated in style on Friday night as they dressed up for their annual prom at Oake Manor Golf Club.

As tradition dictates, the arrival transport consisted of a combination of the luxurious and the novel with students choosing options which ranged from tractors, a trailer with a sofa, motorbikes and golf carts to sports cars and limousines.

After a three-course sit down dinner, head boy Dan Travers and head girl Ellie Hands made speeches to thank their teachers and hand out special gifts.

They then partied the night away on the dance floor or tried their luck at the casino tables until parents and friends came to pick them up just before midnight.

Headteacher Lorraine Heath paid tribute to the year group. “The class of 2019 have been an exceptional year group at Uffculme School,” she said. “They have grabbed hold of every opportunity presented to them and developed into kind, caring and compassionate young people.

“Each and every one of them has written themselves into the history of the school and we are immensely proud of them.

“We can’t wait to celebrate with them again in August when they receive their exam results.”
