PUPILS at Langford Budville Primary School took part in lots of exciting activities as part of World Book Week.

The event encouraged the children to read and share books with each other.

Activities included a Dragon Hunt and a Character Day in which pupils dressed as their favourite book characters.

A Book Talk activity provided an opportunity for youngsters to share their favourite book and try to persuade others to read it. Book at Bedtime, now a well supported tradition at Langford, saw more than 30 pupils return to school with colourful onesies and sleeping bags, snuggle up and enjoy stories with hot chocolate and cookies.

Damson, the school’s reading dog, also visited and enjoyed listening to readers. There were also plenty of opportunities during the week to DEAR – Drop Everything And Read.
