DRUG dealer Chadd Winters, from Wellington, has been warned he is facing a jail sentence after admitting dealing ecstasy and being in possession of class B and class A drugs.
Winters, 32, of Churchfields, pleaded guilty to being in possession of MDMA on November 1 last year with intent to supply, and being in possession of a class B drug, and cocaine on November 19.
Defending at Taunton Crown Court, Patrick Mason asked Recorder Malcolm Gibney to adjourn the hearing for a pre-sentence report to be created.
“These events happened almost ten months ago,” he said. “Since then he has been to rehab and worked hard to turn his life around, but he does realise that he is in a considerable amount of jeopardy of losing his liberty.” Adjourning the case, Recorder Gibney warned: “The fact that the sentencing has been delayed is not indication of what your sentence will be. These are serious crimes and your sentence would go either way.”
Winters is scheduled to be back before the court for sentencing on October 20. In the meantime, he was released on bail.
