THE first event to be held in Wellington’s Pop-Up Shop in the spring of 2017 was a wide-ranging exhibition by local artist and art teacher Claire Western.
The show supported the Alzheimer’s Association, while another in 2022 raised funds for Taunton Association for the Homeless.
Claire returns on April 8 to 13 when she will again be joined by Tor Townsend, another well-known Somerset artist.
Said Claire: “We wanted to help another charity and have chosen Taunton Samaritans.

Claire is best known for her mixed media work, mainly large expressive land and seascapes, and for the many workshops which she runs in drawing, painting, and printmaking at Eliza House, Fore Street, Wellington.
Tor’s work often has architecture and buildings as a subject, with a focus on dilapidation.
