WELLINGTON Rugby Club has held its first-ever Christmas lunch with 80 vice-presidents, past players, sponsors, supporters and friends attending.

One of the guests was hard-hitting former batsman Ray Windsor, who played cricket for both Wellington and Bridgwater.
The club’s sponsorship secretary, Chris Bullock, said: “The event was a great success.
“I would like to thank Graham and his team from the Globe Inn at Sampford Peverell and Caroline Davy for laying up the tables in a festive theme
“I would also like to wish everyone at the club a very happy Christmas and New Year.
“Don’t forget the big game on Boxing Day with a 2.30pm kick-off.”
