West Buckland Church’s autumn fair at the village hall on Saturday raised £620 towards church funds.

The event included produce, card, book, toy, soft furnishing, bric-a-brac and tombola stalls, along with ‘find the full wine bottles’ and a card game.

Local honey was on offer as well, along with a raffle and refreshments, with home-made jam tarts and mince pies.

A steady flow of people throughout the afternoon kept the helpers on their toes.

Church warden Tracey Richbell said: “On behalf of the church wardens and the PCC we would like to say a big thank you for everybody’s support.

“It was so nice to see so many people coming out regardless of the weather.”
