The 10 Parishes Festival returns in September and organisers are inviting local artists, creatives and performers to an open meeting to discuss their plans and ideas.

The festival takes place in Wiveliscombe and surrounding parishes every two years and the last event in 2017 was a record-breaker, realising more than £45,000 in art sales.

Festival director Pauline Homeshaw said: “The brilliant results of the last festival were a testament to the creative talent we have in the area, along with the huge amounts of support from all sectors of the community.

“The festival engages with so many people locally and it is also a chance to celebrate what is special about where we work and live.

“It takes months to plan, which is why we have this initial meeting early in the year, inviting anyone who might like to be involved in any form along to learn more.”

The open meeting is on Friday at Wiveliscombe Community Centre at 7.30pm. Further information is available from 01984 624564.
