SOMERSET Sight has kicked off the festive period with a Christmas party for blind and partially-sighted children and their families at its office in Staplegrove Road in Taunton.

The party was attended by children and their families from across Somerset who all had a great morning playing party games, making Christmas crafts and socialising.

Somerset Sight has been running since 1919 and offers a range of services and activities to sight-impaired people of all ages and those who care for them across the county.

Thanks to a grant from BBC Children in Need Somerset Sight is now offering regular events and outings to families with blind and partially-sighted children.
