A FIREWORKS display provided the finale when Year 12s leaving Court Fields, Wellington, were treated to their end-of-school prom.
The display was put on by the Allerford Inn, Norton Fitzwarren, as a surprise after the group of 120 or so students and 25 staff finished celebrating and saying their goodbyes.
The students had arrived in all manner of vehicles – tractors, motorbikes, sports cars and even an Army truck – as has become part of the Prom tradition.
No-one missed the occasion – all had taken lateral flow tests for Covid and none tested positive: “We’ve had some students self-isolating this year but nobody had to do so on the night,” said headteacher Polly Matthews.
