CLAIMS Consortium, which has a large facility at Culmhead, has been named as a winner of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation.
It is one of just 176 companies nationally recognised for their
contribution to international trade, innovation, sustainable development and promoting opportunity.
The firm, based at East Reach, Taunton, provides property claims handling services to insurance companies, brokers and other property service organisations across the UK.
This year’s winners include UK businesses leading the way in a broad range of industries – from green energy solutions and medical healthcare to laser technology and digital marketing.
Now in its 51st year, the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise is one of the most prestigious business awards in the country, with winning businesses able to use the esteemed Queen’s Awards emblem for the next five years.
Brendan Cleere, Taunton Deane Borough Council’s director for growth and development, said: “I am delighted that Claims Consortium has been named a winner of this award.
“Taunton Deane is host to many great firms, large and small, and we are a business-friendly council that encourages companies that are already here to thrive and grow, and we are ready to welcome firms looking to relocate here.
“This is a tremendous tribute to the innovation and inspiration provided by Claims Consortium, so many congratulations to everyone who works there.”
The company, named recently as being one of the Sunday Times Top 100 employers, has introduced social media style claims handling for enhanced communications between all parties in property insurance claims.
