The first homes have gone up for sale at Blackdown Meadow on the outskirts of Wellington on the Taunton Road, near the Mount Vets veterinary hospital.

Summerfield Home is building 23 properties on the site and the two four-bedroom homes are for sale from £350,000 with two- and three-bedroom properties available in the next couple of months.

Company director Ed Khodabandehloo said: “Very good progress is being made on site at Blackdown Meadow and we look forward to moving in new home owners from early next year.”
