WIVELISCOMBE Horticultural Society is holding the 104th annual show at Kingsmead School on Saturday (August 18).

Kate Tam will open the event at 2pm and everyone is welcome to go along.

Much more than flowers and vegetables is on offer, including different crafts, floral art, children’s and photographic entries. This year the show has a new section open to all generations, allowing families to work together on their exhibits.

A classic car show will also be held in the grounds of the school – the cost to enter a car is £5, including free entry to the flower show.

Teas will be served in the Main School Hall, where visitors will be able to hear the ever popular Wiveliscombe Town Band. Several attractions will be one offer around the school including many in the School Gym.

A spokesman for the show said: “This is an extremely good show and even if you are not entering any exhibits why not come along and see the wonderful work on display.”
