MEMBERS of the Rotary Club of Wellington Somerset entered into the festive spirit with a Christmas lunch at the Beambridge Inn.

About 80 people attended the event, including partners and

ex-Rotarians, and Anthony Askew presented an entertaining film showing members involved in activities over the last 30 years.

The club has 35 members, the president is Vicky Nash and it meets on Monday lunchtimes at the Beambridge. The club aims to raise money and help charities, whether local, national or international, using the worldwide network of Rotary International, and allows members to enjoy social activities.

Members have been escorting Father Christmas around Wellington to enchant children and raise money for this year’s charities, including Meningitis Research, WHERE and Shelterbox.
