FOLK music lovers flocked to Nynehead Court to enjoy performances by acclaimed bassist Miranda Sykes and local musician Gibby Swaine in the early evening sunshine.
It was a ‘perfect’ evening as Miranda wowed the audience with her stunning voice, playing guitar, ukulele and double bass.
Gibby entertained the audience with traditional folk songs on her accordion as a ‘wandering minstrel’ in the grounds.
The event was held in the church and grounds of Nynehead Court and Nynehead Social Club ran the bar in the Orangery. Profits raised from the event will be given to Nynehead Church and ACEArts.
After the performances and food, guests were able to enjoy the sculpture park in the grounds of the court before the sun went down.
Home manager Angela Watkins said: “Our guests enjoyed the event and the wonderful performances from Miranda and Gibby. We are now beginning to plan for our craft fair on November 10.”
