Wellington Rotary Club members’ latest collection for the Wellington and Taunton food banks raised a record amount in the run-up to Christmas.

Almost 140kg of food and household products was delivered to volunteers at the Trussell Trust centre in time to support its holiday distribution. In addition, more than 500 lollies were given for sprinkling over food packs for children.

Over the past three years local Rotarians have delivered more than 5cwt of provisions to support local people.
