CROWDS flocked to Wellington town centre on Saturday for the Wellington Food Town fair.

Queues of visitors snaked back from food stalls lining High Street selling locally produced food, and drink.

Some 60 stalls stacked with local delicacies and decked with bunting lined the road, which had been closed to traffic for the day, giving the street a carnival atmosphere and the opportunity to visit the wide range of shops in Wellington.
