THE team of volunteers at Wellington Food and Drink Festival has been shortlisted as Somerset Stars at the 2017 Volunteer of the Year awards.

Engage is organising the awards in Taunton Deane and West Somerset as part of the Somerset-wide Star Awards to celebrate National Volunteers Week 2017.

The county council-backed awards are designed to celebrate individuals and groups, young and old, who volunteer in their communities and have a positive impact on people’s lives.

The awards ceremony is on Wednesday, June 7, at North Street Church, North Street, Taunton.
