WELLINGTON Football Club has been given a grant of £1,000 by the council. The money will go towards the refurbishment of its changing facilities, which includes replacing nine showers in three changing rooms.

Reminiscence Learning was also awarded £2,000. One of the council’s areas of priority for this year is “Co-ordinating support for older people.”

At the beginning of the financial year the council made £15,000 available in its grants budget and this is now down to £5,250.
