The activities programme at Nynehead Court now includes table tennis – thanks to a generous donation from Wellington Town Football Club.

The club gave £100 to Nynehead Court’s residents’ amenity fund to help pay for the table tennis equipment, which some of the residents had requested.

Graham Aspin and Jenny Oxby from Wellington Town visited the home to see the table which has been purchased, and could not resist trying it out with the residents.

Home manager Angela Watkins said: “We are very grateful to Wellington Town Football Club for their generous donation, which they can see has been put to good use.

“We have challenged them to a table tennis match in the New Year and a croquet match in the summer!”
