Nynehead Court is putting the finishing touches to preparations for its summer fete on Saturday (June 29) with the promise of fun for all ages.
The fete is in aid of Wellington Monument and representatives from the National Trust are supporting the event. Among the attractions are a competition for children to decorate their own cardboard monument – which have been handed out in schools and are also available from Nynehead Court – stalls and croquet. There will also be an opportunity to walk alpacas, a pet show and children’s games. The fete is from 2-5pm and is free to attend.
Home manager Angela Watkins said: “Our garden fete is our main charity fundraising activity this year, and is raising funds for Wellington Monument. We are keeping everything crossed for good weather.”
