WELLINGTON Bowling Club has raised more than £1,500 through its Christmas draw.

The event, organised by Mike Connor, saw members and friends enjoy an evening of entertainment and prize winning.

Local businesses and members gave 92 prizes to support the club and more than 1,500 tickets were sold for £1 each.

One of the lucky winners was Geoff Stamp (pictured) with his signed photo of Alan Shearer.

Members of Wellington Operative Society sang Christmas songs after the draw.

The club would like to thank members, friends and businesses who contributed prizes, including Perrys, Cobbler, Hair Lounge, Claire’s Hairdresser, Tamarind Bay, The Mount Hairdresser, the Iron Duke, Kamyko Hairdressers, South Street Motors and

Potters.
