THE morning service at St Mary’s Church in Hemyock, taken by Rev Chris Hudson, ended with a gift being made to Brian and Jenny Doble (pictured) who had celebrated their Golden Wedding two days beforehand.

Jenny is a churchwarden and both she and her husband are choristers at the church.

Mary Beal and Patricia Fuller presented a golden floral arrangement and card on behalf of the church.

Congratulations were also given to St Mary’s other churchwarden, David Bawler, and his wife Janice for their 46th anniversary.
