WELLINGTON Park and the Swains Lane Nature Reserve in Wellington have been presented with Green Flags.

Wellington Park, managed by Somerset West and Taunton Council (SWT), won a Green Flag and a Green Flag Heritage Award, and Swains Lane, managed by the Swains Lane Community Group, a Green Flag.

A record-breaking 1,970 UK parks and green spaces received Green Flag Awards and Green Flag Community Awards this year.

This international award, now into its third decade, is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible environmental standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent visitor facilities.
