PROUD Wellingtonian, Greg Dyke, is to be the next town clerk.
He will take up his post on Tuesday, April 1 and work in tandem with retiring post holder Tony Brown for a month before taking over on May 1.
Greg, who has more than 40 years experience of local government, is currently Democratic Services Manager with Taunton Deane Borough Council, told the WWN: "I'm looking forward to the new challenge immensely.
"Its a role I'm very excited about, and Tony will be a very hard act to follow."
