LIZZIE Brewer Braved the Shave last Saturday to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer.

The event took place at the RWG War Memorial Club. Caroline Ridgeway kindly brought the clippers and did the shave, watched by a large audience.

There was also a raffle with donations from Wellington shops and businesses. The club pledged £100, as did the Wellington Ladies‘ Darts League.

The combined amount raised was £987 so Yours Faithfully pledged the £13 to make a round £1000.

A big thank you goes to all those that donated items for the raffle, those that attended, those that pledged support and also to the RWG Club for hosting it. It was a lovely family afternoon.
