WELLINGTON Medical Centre has received £1,000 from the town council towards a proposed community car scheme for patients.

Patient Participation Group chairman Erica Adams was unable to attend the presentation due to family illness so vice-chairman Hugh Daizel accepted the cheque from town Mayor Gary James. Mr Daizel thanked the Mayor for the council’s donation.

Fundraising activities will be staged in coming months and it is hoped local businesses will help the PPG in its efforts to secure funding.
