THE parish church at Hemyock is open on Sunday (September 9) between 2-5pm as part of Heritage Open Days.

Displays will show Hemyock in the World Wars. Penny Lawrence will give a short talk on Hemyock and the World War 1 Allotments at 3.30pm.

The Friends of St Mary’s are organising the event and tea and cakes will be available throughout.

Hemyock Castle is also open to visitors.
