MEMBERS of Nynehead Church’s Parochial Church Council (PCC) will receive a further donation from Nynehead Court as a result of the home’s charity Christmas concert.

The event was a great success with entertainment from Wellington School musicians, who followed up their performance of

A Young Musicians’ Showcase in September with a festive recital.

Mince pies and mulled wine in the home’s Orangery added to the seasonal flavour. The concert raised £200 for the PCC, in addition to the sum given after the earlier event in September.

Home manager Angela Watkins said: “Our two concerts have been very popular, as well as raising money for local causes. We are planning similar events for 2016.”
