A MAJOR housing scheme is planned for the former medical centre at Bulford, Wellington.

Up to 39 homes could be erected on the site if the proposals by builders McCarthy and Stone, who specialise in purpose-built retirement accommodation, go ahead.

The firm wants to provide the homes in a mix of one, two and three storey buildings with community services for the residents.
