PEOPLE in Wiveliscombe are being asked how they would like the town’s recreation ground to be celebrated on its 100th birthday next year.
‘The Rec’ has been at the heart of Wiveliscombe since it was opened on June 3, 1920, to commemorate those who died in the First World War. It was bought for £1,500 raised through public subscriptions.
Anyone with ideas about how to celebrate the event on Saturday, June 6, next year should e-mail the committee at [email protected]
