Pupils in Year 6 at St John’s Primary School in Wellington enjoyed plenty of treats after their SATs exams.

They had an ice cream when an ice cream van arrived after completing their final SATs paper. This was organised by the school and provided by Noodles Ices.

The next day all of Year 6 Haslett Class started their day with a tasty fry up for breakfast, including sausages and bacon from Wellington butcher Tim Potter.

The whole class, including teacher Mr Foster, received a certificate in assembly praising them on their attitude and effort during SATs week.

A spokesperson for the school said: “The children coped really well with their SATs, during a time which can be quite stressful and the whole of the St John’s school family is extremely proud of them.”
