TIME is running out to vote for the Wiveliscombe-based In the Mix Project and help it win £1,000 worth of building materials.
RGB Building Supplies has selected the charity as a finalist in its Surprise Supplies giveaway and it is now down to a public vote to see if it is one of two finalists chosen to each receive the prize.
The In the Mix Project provides youth and community services which aim to enhance learning, personal development, self-esteem and confidence while promoting teamwork and citizenship. Services range from offering personal support to sporting activities.
The charity would like to improve the outdoor area at its Hub Centre, a safe and welcoming multi-use space which can be hired out, used as a place where young people and the wider community can meet up for a chat over coffee and somewhere young people can access support platforms.
If voted as a Surprise Supplies winner, the £1,000 will be used to purchase materials to complete the project.
RGB Wiveliscombe branch manager Phil Sparks said: "For our latest Surprise Supplies call out we received over 150 nominations from across the region, so congratulations to In the Mix Project for being chosen as a finalist. The charity does fantastic work to support young people in our community and, as its local RGB branch, we want to encourage our community to show their support and vote."
The vote runs until February 28. Votes can be made by visiting RGB’s Facebook page and liking the photo in the Surprise Supplies album which represents the group being voted for or by emailing [email protected] and putting the name of the group in the subject line.
