AMATEUR photographer Paul Steven, from Wellington, has won a competition with a picture of waves crashing against the shore on Beer beach.

Entrants in the competition run by South West Coast Path Association were asked to capture people enjoying a great day out by the sea.

Paul said: “We were walking along the beach and I decided to attempt to capture the waves crashing against the shore. I am really pleased with this photo and I feel I captured our day out beside the sea perfectly.”
