ELLEN Todd, 18, has joined the WWN as a business administrative apprentice for a year.

“I’ve always loved reading since I was young and my favourite author is Michael Grant,” she said yesterday.

“I have wanted to be a writer for years and am very excited to be working on the Wellington Weekly.”

Ellen lives in Hemyock with her mum, Anne, and two dogs.

“I love playing basketball but I’m not very good at it.”

Ellen went to Tiverton and Hemyock Primary Schools, before moving on to Uffculme Secondary School (7 to 11 years), and then Richard Huish College in Taunton.
