THE United Reformed Church in Fore Street, Wellington, has held a special coffee morning and Jo Cox Get Together.

Church secretary Andrew Harvey said more than 1,500 communities across the country joined together for the Great Get Together to celebrate the life of Jo Cox MP, who was murdered three years ago.

The Minister, Revd Jenny Kilgour, and members of the congregation welcomed guests from the town council, food bank, stroke club and Ladies Probus, plus others from the community, including Jubilee Court, next to the church.

Cakes were on sale which together with tombola, raffle and bric-a-brac stall raised £210 towards the year’s fundraising for the WHERE and Beacon Centre charities.
