WIVELISCOMBE Horticultural Society is seeking new members due to the increasing age and declining number of the existing membership.

Anyone who would like to join can contact any committee member or go along to the group’s annual garden party being held at the Jubilee Gardens, West Street, Wiveliscombe, on Saturday, June 24, at 2.30pm.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a cream tea, enter a raffle and catch up with friends – and plants and produce will be for sale.

The society’s 103rd flower show, a traditional day out for all the family, is on Saturday, August 19.

The familiar fruit, flower and vegetable classes, and children’s, handicraft and cookery classes, will be on offer with a few changes across all sections. Schedules are available at several locations in and around Wiveliscombe.
