THE Rotary Club of Wellington District raised £230 with a raffle at Wellington School’s Christmas craft fair and the money was used to buy 20 bears which were given to the children’s ward at Musgrove Park Hospital to be handed out on Christmas Day.

Club president Symon Jeffrey, along with his daughter Mia and club member Jessica Simmons, delivered the bears and received a warm reception from staff.

The club would like to thank everyone who supported the event, especially Wellington School for giving a free table at the craft fair, Bear World in Taunton for the Charlie Bear donation and Maureen Arscott for the Christmas cake. 

The Rotary Club says this will now be an annual event.
