THE all-female Somerset Hills Chorus – which has several members from the Wellington area – is holding a Learn to Sing event as part of a recruitment drive.

Females over the age of 14 with some singing experience are invited to free three evening sessions where they will learn to sing a well-known song in four-part harmony.

The a cappella chorus has 30 members and rehearses at Bishop’s Hull. They perform locally and have been competing nationally for over 25 years – they recently won a bronze medal at the Sage in Gateshead in this year’s competition.

Learn to Sing a Cappella is being held at Bishop’s Hull village Hall on Thursdays July 5, 12 and 19 from 7.30-9.30pm.
