Wellington WI was very sad to have to make the decision to postpone the Poppy Memory Wall until next year. The restrictions we are living with at the moment would have made the project too difficult to achieve successfully this year.

I would like to say a big thank you to all of you who knitted or crocheted poppies over ‘lockdown’ and beyond. You have given us a great start for next year’s project! All poppies can be left with Heidi at Kardies in Lancer Court.

We will be putting up as many poppies as we can manage in the park and the town this year, providing we don’t go back into lockdown. So keep an eye out for us at the end of the month and say hello if you see us.
