A WELLINGTON couple who survived a horrific machete attack have praised townspeople for their "wonderful" support.

In an exclusive interview with the WWN at their home at St John's Close, Wellington, Peter and Muriam Green told how they are struggling to live a normal life six months after the attack, which took place in Tobago.

Muriam, 59, said: "Local people have been wonderful."
