HUNDREDS of people turned out at Hemyock on Saturday to see the Lights Brigade parade with their display of lanterns.

The parade left from the Healthy Living Centre at Lower Millhayes early in the evening and ended up at the village centre with the lighting of the church star where food and drink was on sale in and around the Catherine Wheel.

The traditional Christmas fair organised by St Mary’s Church with Culm Davy Church was also held on Saturday.

The parish church welcomed the local primary school and visitors to its annual Christingle service on Sunday.
