A SMALL community group from Langford Budville is setting up a village cinema.
Josh Wedderkopp, one of those involved, said: “It’s all about strengthening community through the power of brilliant movies.
“We are launching ‘BudVue’ Cinema, a monthly big screen showing of some of this year’s best movies, at Langford Budville village hall on February 24. Our first movie will be ‘Churchill’.
“Our priority is not making money but to be offering our community a monthly event that is social, thought provoking and entertaining.
“We have tried to choose an affordable and fair ticket price of £5 a head. This low price, we hope, will bring in a large enough audience to cover our costs.
“While you’re very welcome to bring your own refreshments, we’ll be serving teas, coffees, wine, beer and snacks. There’ll even be ice cream in the intermission!
“Our showings will be on Saturdays, late in the month. Doors open at 7pm, which should give you time for a drink and a chat before the show begins at 7.30pm.”
