MILVERTON primary school pupil Lucy Ayres, 10, is the winner of a competition to design the 2008 Christmas card for Taunton constituency MP Jeremy Browne.

The result was announced at a special assembly for all the pupils at the school.

Jeremy Browne said: "Lucy has designed a brilliant card with a striking picture of a red-nosed reindeer."

Lucy received a winner's painting set is also going to the Houses of Parliament with members of her family for tea with Mr Browne.
