WWN photo contributor John Harmsworth sent in this picture of the partial lunar eclipse last week.

The eclipse coincided with the 50th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11 mission to land on the moon.

John, who lives at Monument Close, took this photo last Tuesday at just after 10pm.

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth, moon and sun are almost exactly in line and the moon is on the opposite side of the Earth from the sun.
