WELLINGTON Majorettes have been presented with a cheque for £120 from the Waitrose Community Matters fund.

Troupe leader Louise Brierley said: “We currently have 48 members and fitting them all out with uniforms and equipment is a very costly exercise, so this money will definitely be put to good use.”

The troupe already has a very busy diary of events planned for this year, with only a couple of free weekends now available.
