CAT lover Louise Mitchell is getting her running shoes on to raise money for the Wellington and Taunton branch of Cats Protection.
Louise is taking part in the Taunton Half Marathon on Sunday, April 3, and has set a fundraising target of £150.
She said: “I live locally and have volunteered for the branch for about three years.
“During that time I have been involved in everything from fundraising to caring for the cats the branch takes in.

The 33rd Taunton Half Marathon is an annual 13-mile road race around the town and surrounding countryside.
Louise has set up a Just Giving page for people to sponsor her. She added: “I would love for people to sponsor me and help the cats, as I am training hard for this.
“No amount is too small or large and every penny makes a difference to the life of a cat that needs care.
“Please visit my Just Giving page and give whatever you can. I hope that lots of people turn out on the day to cheer me on, too.”
