FREE money is being offered by a town councillor to good causes in Wellington.
Cllr Marcus Barr, who represents Rockwell Green, wants to use his £280 annual allowance to support one or more worthy local organisations.
In previous years, Cllr Barr has used his allowance to contribute towards a survey of work needed on the spire of All Saints Church, to fund a prayer table for Rockwell Green Primary School, and to help Rockets pre-school, Rockwell Green War Memorial Institute, and the local scouts troop.
Cllr Barr said: “Up to now, I have helped groups only in Rockwell Green where I live but I realise that the town council’s money comes from council taxpayers all over Wellington.

“If there are any organisations which need a small grant from me, then I would like to hear from them and learn how the money would benefit them, and I will try to help as many as I can.”
